TC Coaching Helps you manage the 10 events in your life

Life is a Decathlon

“My 10 events are on the track, your 10 events may be your running, gym sessions, recovery sessions, social life, family and work.

More than just a programme.

Being coached by an elite athlete has its benefits. We understand what it takes to progress in different areas of training whilst working towards a bigger goal.

It is not easy balancing training, social/family life and work. This is where having a coach is far superior to working from a PDF. It is okay to have someone there to help you make big decisions and prioritise certain aspects of training to balance alongside your busy schedule.

No matter where you are in your fitness journey. TC Coaching can help you be better than yesterday.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

TURN UP

If working with me, the first thing I ask of my clients is to exert discipline. Visit our journal to discover the difference between motivation and discipline. We are in the business of building habits that will develop long term change. One of the first goals I create will be to maintain a consistent training routine. All this really requires on your end is to simply turn up!

WORK HARD

It’s very easy to push yourself in a 30min HIIT class. But is that consistently sustainable? The real changes come from working both smart and hard. Spreading your training volume over a week and having someone consistently monitor number or sets, steps and distance you cover in a week can help us see results!

However, results don’t come easy! From fat loss to strength improvements, there will be challenging times in your programme, if there isn’t, you aren’t maximising your potential for growth! We overcome these challenges is through communication, planning but also gritting your teeth and working hard!

LISTEN

When a client joins my community, they are open to a wealth of educational pieces on training, movement, technique and building habits. As well as this, your programmes as specific to your goals and extremely detailed. Your attention to detail in feedback at end of week check ins is crucial. Listening goes both ways! The more feedback you give me, the deeper my analysis can be in return.

“I joined Village Gym in January 2020 and was impressed by Tom's attitude and commitment to client care. He demonstrated a really thorough knowledge of anatomy and exercise approaches… My main goal was to counter knee pain which was restrictive in most aspects of my daily life.

Tom's personal experience of knee injury and rehabilitation gave him a real insight into my plight… My knee pain is practically non-existent now. But I have continued training with Tom because he offers insights and exercise programmes which give me the opportunity to keep building my strength, which is crucial to counter muscle entropy as we age…

The accountability of weekly check ins and consequent feedback and encouragement.”

“It’s only been 2 weeks… However, I do 10k steps every day which seemed impossible most of my life and I realised eating healthier doesn’t have to be boring and dissatisfying. I also don’t hate running/walking/going outside anymore! Overall, I can definitely see a change in my mental health and outlook and it’s made me even more excited.”

“I like to track and measure everything, I love spreadsheets and numbers and just having that accountability and responsibility to check in what I’ve done every day in a very detailed spreadsheet tailored to me has definitely helped.”

Tom is amazing for this and makes you feel so valued, like he's basically holding your hand through everything. The weekly check ins are brilliant so you can see how far you have come!”

The weekly check ins really helped to review the week and identify obstacles. For the first time ever, I am consistently sticking to a training plan…. Thank you, I don’t know what Lockdown would be like without your home programmes.”

“I want to run in a safe way, avoid injuries and train in a structured way. Tom was recommended because of his athletic background… TC Coaching helped in structuring my fitness regime. I have also found it very helpful understanding if aches and pains are normal or are the result of injuries. This has been a handicap in the past as it restrains me in my efforts.”
